Position Title: Community Outreach Advocate
Reporting Supervisor: Director of Prevention and Outreach

Position Description:

This position builds strong community partnerships and maintains ongoing collaboration with other service providers to ensure high quality services for PADV clients. Through these collaborations, this position will have greater access to underserved populations who may be in need of PADV services. Additionally, this position is responsible for providing 30, 60, and 90 follow-up services to all PADV clients.

Position Responsibilities and Performance Standards:

1. Provides case coordination with community clients.
2. Administers regular client follow-up services to PADV shelter and community clients.
3. Maintains familiarity of community resources in Fulton and Gwinnett counties.
4. Represents PADV at Task Force, Fatality Review, and other community collaborative meetings.
5. Participates in public speaking engagements, enhances community awareness, and develops networks of referral agencies.
6. Maintains a consistent, high quality, client focused orientation when conducting business and providing services.
7. Attends monthly staff meetings.
8. Works flexible schedules and serves on-call as needed.
9. Completes all tasks in a timely manner.
10. Maintains and reports accurate monthly statistics.
11. Fosters and maintains excellent, professional working relations with staff and volunteers and functions as part of a team.
12. Works collaboratively with supervisor in developing and implementing program goals.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of domestic violence and its impact on victims.
• Ability to work with culturally diverse groups.
• 21 years of age with a valid drivers’ license.
• Available to work flexible hours.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention, risk assessment and referral, community outreach and client advocacy.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
