On April 26, 2011, the Academic Senate approved the elimination of the re-examination (re-exam). The proposal was brought forth by the Student Regulations Committee, who had previously approved the same proposal on March 31, 2011.
Please note this change in policy officially takes effect Summer 2011, meaning that Spring 2011 degree candidates are the last group of students able to take advantage of the re-exam. For those students, the policy can still be seen here: http://www.catalog.gatech.edu/rules/7b.php(specifically #3).
