This year, the Society for the History of Navy Medicine--a Constituent Society of AAHM—inaugurates its Student Grant Program. As an encouragement for student interest in scholarship in the area of the history of maritime medicine, we will offer an annual grant of $750 to underwrite travel costs for an undergraduate, graduate or medical student whose paper is accepted for presentation at the Society's Fifth Annual Meeting and Papers Session. This year's award is contingent upon our empanelment at the Naval Academy History Symposium, September 15-16, 2011. The deadline for submission of proposals is January 14, 2011.
