On Friday, September 17th, Georgia Tech will host the 2010 Diversity Symposium. The theme of this year's symposium is GT 2035: A Diverse and Inclusive Community and will feature keynote speaker, Dr. Ricardo Azziz, President of the Medical College of Georgia.  Panelists include Dr. Mary Juhas, Diversity and Outreach, The Ohio State University and Ms. Lucinda Sanders, National Center for Women and Information Technology, University of Colorado, as well as Georgia Tech faculty, staff, and student leaders. All faculty and staff members are welcome to attend.

Student participation in the discussion and exposure to the day's events will be beneficial to both the community and the individual student.  Therefore, all students are invited to register and attend all or part of the symposium, which is scheduled from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

This year the challenges of and prospects for academic diversity will be addressed at the symposium in relation to the Institute's strategic plan and the development of strategies
for managing diversity matters.
