Council of Competitiveness Internships

Posted by Admin On 8/13/2010
Interns are absolutely essential to supporting the Council’s mission and the impact of this organization. We are seeking bright, energetic, and enthusiastic students and graduates to help address America’s competitiveness challenges.

Interns will gain invaluable experience as they become familiar with how a non-profit organization/think-tank works and gain an opportunity to attend CEO level meetings.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include general administrative support, research and writing, maintaining and updating databases, copying, filing, and, most importantly, staffing and preparing for Council events.

Potential areas for work include new business development/marketing, communications, government affairs, international affairs, policy development, and technology. Interns should be interested in deepening their exposure and gaining knowledge on a wide range of policy issues and working with the top leadership of the Council.  For more information, click "Read More."
Internships are available year round and are open to undergraduates, graduate students, and recent graduates. The ideal candidate will, first and foremost, possess extremely strong writing and research skills. The Council is, furthermore, seeking individuals who are resourceful, detail oriented, and present a strong academic record. In-depth knowledge of the Internet, various software applications including Raiser’s Edge, Excel, MS Word, and Access is also useful. Interns are paid a $20 per diem stipend to cover daily expenses. Interested applicants should send a resume, writing sample and cover letter to Pat Hennig at phennig@compete.org.
