Internships with Raksha, Inc.

Raksha is a Georgia-based nonprofit organization for the South Asian Community. Raksha's mission is to promote a stronger and healthier South Asian community through confidential support services, education, and advocacy. Guided by values of consensus in decision-making, diversity in leadership, and the dignity and worth of every individual, Raksha strives to empower and serve the South Asian community. Raksha currently has three internship positions available.  Click "Read More" for details and make an appointment with Dr. D'Unger to talk about getting HTS credit.

Social Media Intern: Update facebook statuses, upload photos, create video montages, make twitter use more robust, increase fan base from around 160 to 500+. Create mini movie clips as PSA/Outreach to post to YouTube, Raksha website and Facebook. The intern will have a lot of leeway and flexibility to make this project theirs. Qualifications: very up to date about social media, knowledgeable about creating and editing movie files, outgoing and creative.

Marketing/PR Intern:
Analyze Raksha's current marketing, determine how it needs to be updated and follow through on  the plan. The intern will have a say in Raksha's new logo re-design, website re-design, colors, etc. Additionally, will ensure content on website is up to date or recreate content to fit the marketing plan. Create a media kit for Raksha. Qualification: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Prefer someone currently majoring in Marketing/PR. Experience with website re-design would be helpful.

Fundraising Intern: Research grants that Raksha is eligible to apply for, write and apply for the grants. Qualifications: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, business oriented, comfortable using MS Excel.
