The Bureau of Environment is looking for a cultural resources intern to fulfill several on-going efforts this summer. The first effort mitigates impacts to the former Boston, Concord, and Montreal Railroad Corridor between Laconia and New Hampton caused by the flood event of 2008. The Department agreed to assemble documentation packets for each of the stone culverts and other potentially contributing structures damaged or destroyed during this flood event.

The second effort is the completion of a determination of eligibility form for the Wilton to Bennington Railroad corridor whose identification of contributing resources was completed in 2009.

A third goal is the completion of historical inventory forms for two railroad bridges in Lancaster and Madbury, NH requested by the Division of Historical Resources that the Department agreed to document prior to their repair or removal.

For details, including qualifications and application information, please click "Read More."

Qualifications: Preferred candidate should be seeking a Historic Preservation Master’s degree or equivalent. Knowledge of Historic District Area forms, Individual Inventory forms, and historic railroad structures a plus.

Please fill out the NH State Job Application and return to Jill Edelmann. Please include your resume.
