Reaching Out for Justice
Syracuse University College of Law professors Paula Johnson and Janis McDonald and representatives of 30 different families affected by racially motivated, Civil Rights Era murders will discuss the legal, historical, and societal impact of these unsolved killings; the current effects of the crimes; and the future implications for society in failing to resolve this unfinished business.
Immediately following will be a performance by legendary singer and civil rights activist Mavis Staples.
