Nonprofit Name:
GivingPoint, 555 Sun Valley Drive, Suite K4, Roswell, GA
This is a unique opportunity to work with a former CEO of a Fortune 1000 company in a small group setting!
GivingPoint is a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring young social entrepreneurs to create a lifelong love for serving others. Their website, myGivingPoint.org, gives teens the opportunity to discover their social passion and track their service hours. The unique part about mygivingpoint.org is that teens can earn points that can be turned into cash grants for the nonprofits they care about. As teens begin to track their service contributions and earn points on the website through interactive tools and quizzes, they create their civic transcript (that can be downloaded for high school service requirements and college applications).
This website is a wonderful resource to inspire teens and help the causes that they care most about. For every 500 points earned, our teens can get $250 in micro-grants for nonprofits.
The GivingPoint is a web portal designed to give youth (ages 13–19) the opportunity to:
- Arm themselves with digital tools to ignite their inner passion
- Explore the possibilities for involvement that match their interests
- Learn about the needs of the community and the nonprofits that are addressing pressing social issues
- Get inspired and motivate change
- Track their service contributions and download their civic transcript
